Addison’s summer senior photo session in Indiana was everything I love about photographing high school seniors—personality, beauty, and a touch of Midwest charm. We met at Dull’s Tree Farm in Thorntown, Indiana, which was absolutely glowing in the summer sun. Their wildflower field was bursting with color, making the perfect backdrop to capture that carefree summertime feeling for her senior portraits.
The evening was scorching hot, but you’d never know it looking at Addison’s smile. She was such a natural in front of the camera, making every shot feel effortless. And because we were in Indiana, I couldn’t resist taking a few shots with the cornfield—because nothing says “home” quite like golden rows of corn swaying in the breeze.
What made Addison’s senior photography session truly special was how she made it her own. She brought her guitar, adding a creative and personal touch that perfectly reflected her love for music. We captured some beautiful moments of her strumming away among the flowers, and I know those images will be timeless keepsakes. She also brought along her jazz dance costume, which was such a fun way to showcase another side of her talents. The vibrant colors and dynamic poses made for an exciting contrast to the natural, relaxed feel of the rest of her senior session.
From wildflowers to cornfields, from guitar strings to jazz shoes, Addison’s session was a perfect snapshot of who she is at this exciting moment in her life. I can’t wait to see all the amazing things she will do after graduation!
